Egyptian Papyrus!

This past Friday, the Egyptian Art (elective class) created their own brand of Egyptian papyrus from torn paper, hay and water! Students were initially disgusted by the slurry, but with screen in hand, they were ready to begin the dip, drain and drying process of their papyrus. We will be enjoying more Egyptian projects in the coming weeks.

This week in Math, 6th graders will be immersing themselves in time-lines and will create a time-line of their day. Students in 7th & 8th grade will be working on Pre-Algebra in the form of variables.
Each student has an account set up in www.tenmarks.com . Please encourage them to use this math site for 10 minutes per night to practice their math skills. Students will normally have Math homework nightly, in addition to the tenmarks.com practice.

Computer Science 6th & 8th grade classes have been working on graphing in Excel and I am very proud of their work. We have practiced bar graphs, line graphs and vocabulary. This week we will include work on surveying and bring your own results to a table & graph. They will have a quiz this week on vocab and graphs.
Thank you,
Mrs. Hartman
