6 & 8th Grade will begin work on their Current Event PPT Project. Students will select a current event article this week and will work on a word doc summary, power point presentation and finally, present their work to their class of peers. 8th grade will continue to monitor their Surveymonkey.com responses to their surveys and prepare graphs on the resulting data.
Math-6th Grade: Prime Factorization and Factor Trees! "What is a prime number?" "What is a composite number?" We will be using factor trees to branch down to the least prime number.
Math-7th & 8th Grade: Exponents and Multiplication of Decimals! We will be learning about exponents and the rules that govern them. Review and integration of our prior work on variables will be included, as well as, negative and positive numbers.
