Report Cards Coming Soon!

This week 7th and 8th graders will be converting fractions, decimals & percentages. As an activity, we will be bring recipes from home and increase/decrease the recipe's yield, which will apply our new knowledge of converting fractions, decimals & percentages. The students are excited to go forth and bake (but Math first!).

6th grade will be working on negative numbers and will work on a number line game using -100 & +100 numbers. I will show the students how negative numbers are applied in real life applications, such as, bank accounts, stock market flucuations and weather temps.
Have your students practice converting fractions, decimals & percentages and using negative numbers at home in everyday applications showing the practical uses of math!

Also, the Fall Festival is on the 29th and 7th grade we need at least 2-3 cakes from each child. I know this is asking quite a bit, but even a "cake mix" cake would be wonderful. It is my understanding that the Cake Walk is very popular and we want to make it the best Cake Walk Redd School has ever had! The booth needs coverage for 3-4:30 pm...please sign up to help man the booth.
Thank you so much,
Mrs. Hartman
