Hartman's Hippies were busy baking & working Fractions, Decimals & Percents in the kitchen this past Thursday! We all enjoyed the fruits of their Math labor...it was great fun applying our math skills to everyday life skills.
8th and 7th grade will continue working on percentages, decimals and fractions, such as, unit rates, proportions, percent of a number , including Simple Interest calculations.
6th grade will begin work with multiplying and dividing fractions in their MIF text, Chapter 3.1.
Egyptian Art made beautiful "King Tut" masks and amulets this past week. This week we will make life size mummies!
Fall Festival is this Saturday!!!!! Please come by and help out at the "Topsy Turvy Cake Walk"!
Please do not forget to bring the cakes by Saturday morning, around 11:30. You may also bring them Friday and I will store them in the classroom (kitchen fridge).
